Jill Hobson is the Senior Education Strategist for Promethean. She works closely with the innovation team to provide insight and guidance on innovation initiatives and help drive the strategic roadmap. She also researches, discovers and elicits innovative ideas for educators and education technologists. Part of her responsibilities include building business models around new innovation.
Previously she served as the Director of Instructional Technology for Forsyth County Schools for 13 years. Her duties included facilitating the very successful Bring Your Own Technology program, re-inventing the Media Center, adoption and identification of digital learning resources and the continuum of online learning opportunities are resources which make up the nationally recognized instructional technology program.
Jill was named one Technology and Learning’s Top 100 most important people in educational technology. She has been on the National School Board Association’s “Twenty to Watch”, a list of 20 emerging leaders in technology. Jill serves as the president of the Georgia K12 CTO Council as well as the Associate Chair of the Georgia Educational Technology Conference (GaETC).
She has presented at a number of international, national and state conferences. Jill earned her Bachelors Degree in English Education from the University of Georgia and Masters Degree in Educational Administration and Supervision from Georgia State University.
